Grubs are the larvae of beetle insects that can adversely impact the health of your lawn. Grubs hatch and grow in the root layer of your lawn and devour your grass’s roots. Detaching the grass from the soil below this kills large patches of turf, leaving it brown. Worse still, grubs make an inviting food for animals like racoons, skunks, and armadillos. These animals can ruin big chunks of your lawn during the night by ravenously excavating the grass looking for grubs.
