OVER-SEEDING

Beautiful lawns sprout from great seeds. When sections of your turf look bare, patchy, or out of character with an otherwise healthy lawn; they likely require over-seeding.

MPR Landscapes specializes in seeding your lawn to grow lush, strong, and consistent. Our team will advise the most suitable type of turfgrass to fit with your current lawn.

Additionally, we will provide you with comprehensive care instructions to ensure optimal growth and maintenance of your newly seeded lawn.

Benefits of Over-seeding:

Over-seeding helps maintain a dense and healthy lawn, serving as a primary defense against weeds. Many lawns in our climate require annual reseeding in certain areas.

Cool-season grasses tend to remain localized and do not spread to cover damaged areas. To increase the density of your lawn effectively, reseeding is necessary.

Lawn seeding plays a crucial role in preventing soil erosion, a leading cause of nutrient pollution in lakes and waterways. By maintaining a lush and healthy lawn, you can play a role to thwart soil erosion and contribute positively to the environment.

Want a better result?
Consider DETHATCHING

Dethatching consists in removing thatch accumulation from the base of the grass in order to allow moisture, sunlight, and fertilizers to better penetrate the soil. Thatch comprises dead and un-decomposed grass roots and stems. Thatch plus other small debris stuck above the soil can create a barrier precluding the absorption of nutrients by your lawn. It can also shelter insects and promote disease.

Thatch build-up is a normal process for lawns, but its excess must be prevented. It is easy to detect it by simply using your fingers to move apart your grass and see how much dead grass has amassed before you reach the soil. If you have more than ½ inch, your thatch cover is inhibiting your lawn from looking its best.
