Manual weeding is applied in the control of the weeds in the mulch and rock beds since this is the efficient and eco-friendly method of weeding. Undertaking the task of pulling weeds manually gives us the opportunity to get specific plants and non-target plants, making sure to root them out completely and thereby eliminating their regeneration. This method is especially beneficial where herbicides are not preferable, such as around decorative plants or even vegetables, it can also lead to a well maintained healthy flowerbed by eliminating competition against water, nutrients and sunlight. Although manual weeding is tedious and time consuming, it is an environmentally friendly method of maintaining flowerbeds without undesirable plants.
